Background
Scott Martin is a Developer at Temper And Forge with 22 years of experience spanning the full development stack. His range covers front-end development, back-end systems, database architecture, DevOps, and system administration, with a particular strength in relational databases and tying complex data together in ways that make projects actually function.
At Temper And Forge, Scott is the kind of contributor who can step into any phase of a project and move it forward.
Vision
Scott approaches development as a discipline that rewards continuous learning. He believes there is always more to understand and something new to absorb, and treats that as an opportunity rather than a pressure. The philosophy is practical: keep learning, keep applying what you learn, and let the work compound over time.
He does his best work with room to focus, and builds best when he can go deep on a problem.
Interests
Scott collects coins, follows cryptocurrency, and maintains several aquariums at home. He also shares his life with his wife, daughter, and Honey, his two-year-old English bulldog, who has strong opinions about how he spends his time away from the keyboard.
Has spent 22 years learning that there is always more to learn, and is at his best when he can go deep on a hard problem.
