Background
Jesse Gansler is the Lead Developer at Temper And Forge, where he works at the intersection of code, process, and collaboration. He studied Computer Science at Western Washington University and has spent five years building the kind of infrastructure that makes creative work scalable: design systems, component libraries, and workflows that help teams move quickly without compromising quality.
His work is often invisible by design. When it's done well, everything else gets easier.
Vision
Jesse cares about the why behind the work, not just the what. He gravitates toward projects and people who share that orientation, and brings a preference for clean architecture and forward-thinking systems to everything he builds. His goal is always to give the work room to grow.
He believes technical decisions are creative decisions, and treats them accordingly.
Interests
Jesse climbs and boulders outside of work, drawn to the same kind of deliberate problem-solving it requires. He has a deep love of music that occasionally turns practical: one of his personal projects used Spotify's audio analysis API to build an AI-powered playlist generator. Not every side project sees the light of day, but that one was worth the detour.
Builds the infrastructure that makes good work possible, and believes a well-designed system is one of the most creative things a developer can produce.
