Background
Addie Weiland is a Junior Designer at Temper And Forge, one year into her career and making the most of it. She studied Design at Western Washington University and is drawn to branding, web design, typography, and packaging: disciplines where the relationship between form and meaning is central to the work.
She arrived at Temper And Forge ready to learn and has spent her first year doing exactly that.
Vision
Addie begins every creative project away from the screen. She works through ideas by hand, sketching until something worth building emerges, and returns to that process whenever she gets stuck. It is both a personal preference and a genuine belief: the best ideas tend to come through iteration and inspiration.
She sees her role on the team as one of curiosity and support, bringing a perspective shaped by fresh eyes and a willingness to ask the questions that experience sometimes makes harder to ask.
Interests
Addie has been constructing miniatures of everyday objects since she was nine years old and has not yet found a reason to stop. She currently lives in Puerto Rico with her fiancé and two cats. It is, by most accounts, a good life.
Comes to every project with fresh eyes and a sketchbook, and believes the best ideas surface through iteration and inspiration.
